Personal Profile:

Cheng Yongqing, founder and chairman of Sanyuan Gene, also serving as the general manager and a senior engineer.
After graduating from Peking Union Medical College, he worked for China's first Sino-foreign joint venture investment company, investing in more than ten projects and enterprises in the health sector both domestically and internationally. In 1992, he co-founded Sanyuan Gene with Academician Hou Yunde.
Mr. Cheng Yongqing holds several positions including: Deputy Director of the Health China Construction Committee of the Central Committee of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party; Vice President of the China Chemical Pharmaceutical Industry Association; Vice Chairman of the Council of the Chinese Journal of Biological Engineering; Executive Committee Member of the Beijing Federation of Industry and Commerce; Member of the First Industry Advisory Committee of the Beijing Stock Exchange; and Vice President of the Daxing District Chamber of Commerce in Beijing.

Personal Experience:

Born in March 1962 in Beijing.

Graduated from West China University of Medical Sciences School of Pharmacy in 1984 with a Bachelor of Medicine degree.

Graduated from Peking Union Medical College (formerly: China Union Medical University) in 1991 with a Master of Medicine degree.

Graduated from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in 1998 with a Master of Business Administration degree.

From 1984 to 1988, served as the Deputy Director of the Technology Development Department at China Resources Double-Crane Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (formerly: Beijing Pharmaceutical Factory).

From 1991 to 1998, worked at China Science and Technology High-Tech Co., Ltd., serving as the Deputy General Manager of the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Division.

From 1992 to 2015, served as a director and general manager at Beijing Sanyuan Gene Engineering Co., Ltd.

Since 2015, has been serving as the chairman and general manager at Beijing Sanyuan Gene Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.

Personal Honors:

In August 2001, was named one of the Top Ten Emerging Entrepreneurs of the 21st Century in China by the China Entrepreneurs Association, China Young Entrepreneurs Association, and New Finance magazine.

In January 2015, was recognized as one of the "Top Ten Figures in Corporate Independent Innovation in China for 2014" by the Development Research Center of the State Council and the China Enterprise Evaluation Association.

In March 2016, was awarded the title of "Leading Talent of the First Batch of 'New Creation Project'" by the Working Committee of Beijing Municipal Commission of Economic and Technological Development and the Management Committee of Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area.
